Go slowly, my lovely moon.

Finally read `The kite runner’. Its a good book. I enjoyed the narration and the settings – war, kabul, Kebobs, Hazaras and the  simple beauty of little things in the life of the characters.

Two things that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon (from the book ofcourse) are the song – “Ahesta boro” and the quote – “For you, a thousand times over.”

Kde 4 release party

KDE 4 had its release party on January 20, 2008. We decided to meet up for lunch at Mahesh Lunch home, Juhu.  After an awesome lunch, we cut a cake, and then headed over to Juhu beach for a stroll. Pradeepto went on a clicking spree, and we had to snap back the camera from him. :D

After the stroll, we decided to head over to Barista and talk a bit about conferences, KDE and some more. Fun!  More photos on flickr.

Sunsets

One of the few things that I like about the new office – Sunsets. Every day, this part of the set of cubes suddenly feels lively. And about the only time I get some sunshine in my life :)

Words

A new word that I came across today:

SNAFU: Situation Normal, All Fscked Up.

:)

P.S. I think I need to re-read the jargon.

écoute moi

Je veux les mêmes droits que toi
Et du respect pour chaque jour,
moi je ne veux que l’amour.

I want the same rights as you.
Respect and your love for each day.

And respect for each day

I don’t want anything but love

Linuxchix-India City meet Mumbai

Linuxchix India had its first meet up at Mumbai on January 5, 2008. Priti, Tazz, VivekVC, Jagdish and I were present at the meet, at CCD Shivaji Park, Dadar.

It went really well. Check out the minutes of the meet and some pictures. Find out if your city has one, and if it doesn’t, plan one! :)

Qotd

Clementine: This is it, Joel. It’s going to be gone soon.
Joel: I know.
Clementine: What do we do?
Joel: Enjoy it.

So…

The year ended and a new year began. Pretty good the last year, was. Went biking to Sinhagad from Pune. Beautiful, it was.
