If you know of any FOSS events happening in your city, or would like to send in a report on one that happened, or, would like to see it written up on the NRC-FOSS calendar, email the details to me.
This could me the monthly LUG meetings, special lectures organized at colleges by LUGs, or major FOSS events.

“You have been volunteered”

“Did somebody call the printer walah?”
That was what I heard when we walked into the room where the Freed.in/2007 organizers and volunteers (and then some more) were busy with last day preparations, the night before the event was to start.
A lot of talks, running between halls, conversations over packed water glasses, resting before the huge fans at the lawn, “Oh, thats your IRC nick? – hello! I’m baks17” handshakes later, I’m happy that I did attend freedel. It was fun.
The talk went fairly okay, better than what I had expected.
Food was _good_ (Pradeepto has scribbled some things about the kebabs and mixed fresh lime soda at Saanjha Chulha), climate was awesome (except for those mid afternoon burns) and people were so c00l. Even after changes in schedules, running between halls, speakers overtiming and such, there was always time for one ciggie, one laugh, one BoF, one tea. It was nice. Nice is good.
Thank you guys.
And then, after the event, a few of us headed over to the himalayas for rejuvenating ourselves. For some quiet time, some peace. But the gory details of the trip calls for yet another entry.
