Sunsets

One of the few things that I like about the new office – Sunsets. Every day, this part of the set of cubes suddenly feels lively. And about the only time I get some sunshine in my life :)

Linuxchix-India City meet Mumbai

Linuxchix India had its first meet up at Mumbai on January 5, 2008. Priti, Tazz, VivekVC, Jagdish and I were present at the meet, at CCD Shivaji Park, Dadar.

It went really well. Check out the minutes of the meet and some pictures. Find out if your city has one, and if it doesn’t, plan one! :)

You better watch out!

You better watch out, you better not shout,
You better not cry, I’m telling you why,
Santa Claus is coming to town.
Heeeeeeeee’s making a list, and checking it twice,
He’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice,
Santa Claus is coming to town!

I had been singing these lines over and over again all over the place. In the elevator, on the way to the canteen, while climbing the stairs, etc. I wonder what were people thinking when they came across one such idiot?

Results.

The outcome is so radically different if you enjoy what you do. People do notice it. You can’t fake it.

In other news, we had our Christmas celebrations today at office.

Memories

Coffee is a good thing. Especially if you have some company to go with it. And an icing on the cake would be chocolates. Even more if there are a whole bunch of them.

And ofcourse, catching up is always a good thing. Almost always.

CodeCampMumbai

Akshay told me about the CodeCampMumbai a couple of days ago. It is like a barcamp, but you actually sit down and *write* code – by the end of the day, you have some cool hack / app. Isn’t that cool? (especially for lazy ones like me who keep putting things off weekend after weekend :P )

So, if you think you’d like to team up with someone or hack on that idea that has been in your head since ages, go ahead, register and have fun!

P.S. I’d probably hack on something Flex.. May be, use the Flex builder Linux Alpha and cook something up.
