Isn’t anyone tryin’ to find me?
Won’t somebody come take me home?
It’s a damn cold night
I’m tryin’ to figure out this life
Won’t you take me by the hand?
Take me somewhere new
I don’t know who you are
But I’m, I’m with you
I’m with you.
– I’m with you by Avril Lavigne.

बिछड़ गया हर साथी देकर
पल दो पल का साथ
किसको फुर्सत है जो थामे
दीवानों का हाथ
हमको अपना साया तक
अक्सर बेगार मिला …

Eu não existo longe de você
E a solidão, é o meu pior castigo
Eu conto as horas pra poder te ver
Mas o relógio tá de mal comigo…
Por quê? Por quê?

Its a wonderful feeling, when, in a random city, at a random place, a random stranger sings out loud one of your most loved songs, to the whole restaurant. And that too, beautifully.
Amazing, what such small things in Life can do to you.

Finally read `The kite runner’. Its a good book. I enjoyed the narration and the settings - war, kabul, Kebobs, Hazaras and the simple beauty of little things in the life of the characters.
Two things that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon (from the book ofcourse) are the song - “Ahesta boro” and the quote - “For you, a thousand times over.”

Je veux les mêmes droits que toi
Et du respect pour chaque jour,
moi je ne veux que l’amour.
I want the same rights as you.
Respect and your love for each day.
And respect for each day
I don’t want anything but love

hazaaron Khwahishen aisi ki har Khwaish pe dam nikale
bahut nikale mere armaan lekin phir bhi kam nikale
nikalanaa Khuld se aadam kaa sunate aaye hain lekin
bahut beaabaruu hokar tere kuuche se ham nikale
muhabbat men nahiin hai farq jiine aur marane kaa
usii ko dekh kar jiite hain jis kaafir pe dam nikale
Khudaa ke vaaste pardaa na kaabe se uthaa zaalim
Kahiin aisaa na ho yaan bhii vahii kaafir sanam nikale
Kahaan maiKhaane ka daravaazaa ‘Ghalib’ aur kahaan vaaiz
par itanaa jaanate hain kal vo jaataa thaa ke ham nikale

You better watch out, you better not shout,
You better not cry, I’m telling you why,
Santa Claus is coming to town.
Heeeeeeeee’s making a list, and checking it twice,
He’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice,
Santa Claus is coming to town!
I had been singing these lines over and over again all over the place. In the elevator, on the way to the canteen, while climbing the stairs, etc. I wonder what were people thinking when they came across one such idiot?

When the night has come
And the land is dark,
And the moon is the only light we’ll see.
No I won’t be afraid,
Oh I won’t be afraid,
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
So darlin’ darlin’ stand by me,
Oh stand by me,
Oh stand, stand by me, stand by me.
If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall,
Or the mountain should crumble to the sea.
I won’t cry, I won’t cry,
No I won’t shed a tear,
Just as long as you stand, stand by me.
And darlin’ darlin’ stand by me,
Oh stand by me,
Whoa stand now, stand by me, stand by me.
Darlin’ darlin’ stand by me,
Oh stand by me,
Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me.
Whenever you’re in trouble just stand by me,
Oh stand by me,
Whoa stand now, oh stand, stand by me.
Stand by me - Ben E King. First released in 1961.
